With fifteen years of dedicated service in elementary classrooms, eight years as an elementary school librarian, and extensive experience in teaching remedial reading at the junior college level, Pat's passion for literacy knows no bounds.

As the author and adjunct literacy instructor of Rio Salado College Courses beginning 2001 for several years, Pat has left an indelible mark on the education landscape. Her courses, such as Edu270AA and Edu270AB, have empowered countless educators with systematic, explicit, research-based decoding and reading strategies.

Pat's commitment to literacy extends beyond the classroom. She was the visionary founder and CEO of Edu-Steps, Inc., a company dedicated to providing invaluable strategies for teachers, educators, parents, and students. Additionally, she had established The Freedom Reading Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization with a noble mission to combat illiteracy through education.

A prolific author, Pat has penned impactful works such as "Pat Doran’s Phonics Steps to Reading Success" and "The Secret Club: Why and How We Must Teach Phonics and Essential Literacy Skills to Readers of All Ages."
